January 2020 Wrap-up and Book Haul

I can’t believe that we only have 11 months left for the new year. Time surely flies when you are having a good time.

My 2020 reading year is doing quite well. I finally managed to find the jive in reading and working. I think it also helps that I worked from home 4 times a week and I only go to the office once a week. I have been doing a lot of reading with the help of audiobook and it is life changing.

With that being said I read a total of 8 books this month. Which is surprising! I have never read that much in a month and I am excited to share with you the books that I have read. So without further ado, let’s dive into the books!

Top 5 Books of 2019

I’m finally closing my year of reading with a quick recap of my whole reading year before diving into my top 5 books. Unlike other readers, I feel like the amount of reading that I make would not suffice for a top 10 books of the year so I am narrowing it down to 5. I would probably do a top 10 if I managed to read more than 100 books in a year.

Okay I will quit blabbing and let’s get into the recap. (Thanks to Goodreads!)

reading

56 books and 17,393 pages. An achievement if you asked me.

2019 is a year of series for me. I managed to finish a lot of series this year and I feel so proud, even my bookshelves are proud of me. So I decided that this top 5 books will only consist of 1 book per series that I have finished, if ever they make it to my top 5 books.

So without further ado, here is my TOP 5 BOOKS of 2019!

The Final Bibliothon Wrap-Up

It is finally done. I feel so proud of myself for this Final Bibliothon. Out of the 9 Reading Challenges, I managed to finish 7 challenges! I consider that as a big success. And I also managed to read 6 books in a week. WHO AM I? I used to read a book for a week or more lately but now? 6 books?? I used to read like that back in High School!

  1. Read the group book (Aurora Rising) – ❌
  2. Adult Book – ✔
  3. Graphic Novel – ✔
  4. A book from an author you’ve never read before – ✔
  5. A book based on its cover – ✔
  6. Free choice/wild card – ✔

Reading Decathlon Wrap Up

Soooo… The reading decathlon was finished last August 25. I’m too ambitious to think that I can read 10 full novels or books in a span of 10 days. Sadly, I can’t. I managed to read 6 books. 5 full novels and 1 novella. I ended up being in a very short slump for 3 days out of 10 days and I’m only reading at night. I’m still proud of myself for finishing 6 books in 10 days.

Booktube-a-thon Reading Wrap Up

I’ve been contemplating if I should post this wrap-up but why not? I managed to read almost 700 pages I think. Here’s my not so impressive wrap-up!

▪️I read the 1/3 of The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown which is my current reads before the booktubeathon starts. It’s 180 pages or more.

▪️I finished 1 book which is Hotel Ruby by Suzanne Young which is 288 pages. I also posted my review here. Just click this link if you want an in-depth thought about this book. (Book Review)

▪️And lastly, I managed to read 200 pages or more of A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin which I haven’t finish up until now.😔

For the reading challenge, I managed to complete two!

🔹 Read a book only after sunset

🔹 Read a book with yellow on the cover

Even though I’m not able to read 7 books in a week, I still enjoyed my time reading these books. How’s your booktubeathon guys?😊

Reading Wrap-Up (March-May)

The month of June was nearing its end. From my side of the world, we only have a few hours before we bid the month of June goodbye. I’ve been meaning to do a wrap-up before yet I only have a few books to show each month. I’ve been reading slowly for months. In the month of March to May I’ve been busy with all the requirements for school. Being a graduating student at a university is tougher than it looks. And I managed to get through it! So after all the stress I decided to rest which gave me a slump for a week or two.

Anyway, I’ll quit blabbing and I’ll show you all the books that I’ve managed to finish in 3 months.
