Hi biblio friends! Advanced Happy New Year! This is part 3 of my Book Catalogue series. If you have not seen part 1 & 2, I’ll be linking them down below.
Today’s post is all about the incomplete series on my shelf. It is either the books are not yet published, or I am not able to haul it yet because it is still not available in my country due to pandemic.
This list is way shorter than any other of the categories. So without further ado, let’s get into the books!
The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani
I only read the first 2 books in the supposed to be a trilogy when they announced that this will be a 6-book series. I love the first book, especially the concept. I am not a fan the second book, but hopefully, I would enjoy it on my reread. The last book just came out this June, but I have yet to get my hands on it. It was always out of stock in my local bookstore, so I asked my aunt to buy this for me.😅 But I won’t be able to get my hands on it until February of 2021.
A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin
If you know nothing about this series, where have you been?? I managed to read up until the third book. But after the 6th book’s publication got pushed back more and more, I was hesitant to pick up the 4th book.
Moreover, these are the only mass-market paperbacks on my shelf. I did not buy it. My friend was about to unhaul her set, and I said I would love to have it. So this set has a sentimental value for me.
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
The last book in the quartet came out last Dec. 02 of this year. And since my local bookstore was outdated, I have yet to find a copy. I only read the first book, but I absolutely love it. So I am excited to dive back to this world when I have the complete set to binge read.
Also, look at that mismatched covers. I actually liked the original covers better, but the aesthetic of the new covers also speaks to me.
The Shaw Confessions by Michelle Hodkin
I read the Mara Dyer trilogy before and I absolutely love it. Noah has been my book boyfriend for a long time. But I was still undecided with how I felt with the third book of the trilogy. And I was not sure about how I felt with this spin-off, too. I am also hesitant to pick it up since I have heard mixed reviews about it. Plus, the third book’s publication got pushed back to 2022.
So those are all the incomplete series on my shelf that I am not planning to pick up unless they are complete.🤣 Because I do not want to forget things when I dive back into the world, so I would have to reread the other book. And right now, I do not have time to reread.
If you have not seen part 1 and part 2 of this series, check it out! The first one is the Completed Series and the second one is the Series to Finish.
That is all for today’s post. Hopefully, the last part of this series would come out tomorrow.😅 But until then.
Maria❤
