Recent Reads (July 06-12, 2020)

During the weeks where I feel like I have not been reading much, I always contemplate as to whether a weekly check-in is necessary. But I realized that this is the only constant thing that I’ve been doing since I started this and I don’t want to slack off. So here we are now.

Once again, I am into sleeping rather than reading during the weekend and I only managed to finish one book for this week which is not bad. At least I finished a book, right?

So let’s talk about the book that I am currently reading and the book that I managed to finish this week.

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

↠I am currently half-way through this book and I will be reading this again as soon as I posted this blog. I love the main character, Kell. I am intrigued by the magic system and the different Londons, which I love the whole concept of. I only have less than 200 pages in this book so hopefully, I can finish it this week.

Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire

Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑

↠I am contemplating last week if I should DNF this book but I power-through it last Monday when I don’t have a lot of workload in the office. I cannot really say that I enjoy it but I cannot say that I did not enjoy it. It’s enough that we already visited this world once and heard Jack and Jill’s story. And to be honest, their story is probably my favorite in the series but after this, I don’t like Jack and Jill’s character anymore, and hopefully, that is the last time that we will visit this world.

So that is all for this weekly wrap-up of some sort.🤣 I hope you guys are having a great day and a good week ahead of you!

Until next time.
