WWW Wednesday – 03042020

Happy first Wednesday of the month my friends! The days are surely passing by so fast. And I am quite proud of myself for reading these many books in the start of the year. I just wished that I will continue to read like that for the whole year.

Always thankful to Sam @samannelizabeth for hosting this.

If you want to join, all you have to do is answer these questions:

1. What are you currently reading?

2. What did you recently finish reading?

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

So without further ado, let’s get into the books that I am quite excited to talk about.

Currently Reading

Walking the Bones by Randall Silvis

~This is the second book to the Ryan DeMarco Mystery trilogy? I really enjoyed the first book that’s why I picked up the second book. However, it felt so different from the first. There is a lot of background story about the main character and not enough investigating on the case. I am quite intrigued with the mystery in this story but I am already 53% in and I feel like the characters are not getting anywhere even when it comes to dealing with their personal issues. But still, I am determined to finish this book. Hopefully this week.

Recently Finished Reading

12316191._sy475_Elantris by Brandon Sanderson

~This is the first Brandon Sanderson book that I have finished and I can already say that the guy is a genius. I’ve been reading reviews about this book and I was surprised to learn that this is his first novel. The world that he created in this book is complex though it is not hard to understand. It does not took me a long time to get in the whole book and I enjoyed every bit of it, especially the last part of the book

where we get a lot of unexpected plot twist. Full review coming soon. 😉

To Read Next

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

~The 6th and final book in the series is coming out this month and I have not read the 4th and 5th book so far. So I think that this is the perfect time to binge read the whole series so I can finally dive into the 6th book when I get my hands to it. Buuuuuttt I am a little hesitant to continue the series because I have heard mixed reviews about it. So hopefully the 4th, 5th and 6th book would not ruin the original trilogy for me.

Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire

~I will be travelling with my family over the weekend and I can’t bring a book with me so I am bringing my Kindle. And since this book is just a quick read and one of my most anticipated of the year, I thought I can read this over the weekend if I have the time. Hopefully I could get into it.

So that’s all for this WWW Wednesday. I am not trying to be ambitious right now with my to read next because my main goal is to finish the book that I am currently reading.

I hope you guys have a good reading week!

Till next time.

  1. So glad to hear you enjoyed Elantris! I love Sanderson’s work! Elantris was my fourth Sanderson book, after the Reckoners trilogy. I enjoyed Come Tumbling Down. I think it’s my new favorite of the series. Hope you love it! Happy reading.
