THOUGHTS:

A mystery that needs to be solved in 8 days with 8 hosts that holds different qualities that would helped piece together the clues. This concept alone is what convinced me to read this book. I have seen a lot of bookTubers and bloggers alike who recommends this book and boy they were not wrong!

The concept of the book suits well with its genre; a murder mystery and with the additional twists. Every time the main character switches host or body, you would be intrigued as to what this person plays in the whole murder. And with every new host gives a new perspective to the mystery. And just when you thought you could trust someone, it would change the moment the host changes. And not only that, there are also other hidden players who would get in the way of solving the mystery.

I really enjoyed reading the book. It was fast paced and the closer that you get to the truth, the more the events of what happened that day would make sense. The author is a genius! The events that happened in the story is not always as it seems; there are motives and reasons that you would only see in the perspective of another but it would look differently on someone else’s eyes.

And if you think that you could guess the plot twist? You are wrong! The plot twist is so unexpected that I did not see it coming. The revelation of the mystery as to why they need to solve the murder is also unexpected. I was dumbfounded when the big reveal come up!

 

I highly recommend this book even though you are not into murder mystery. This is pure entertainment and would keep you at the edge of your seat. Do check it out if you haven’t read it yet, you will not regret it!
