I can’t believe that it’s already December. Few more days to go before the holiday and the most awaited holiday in my country, Christmas! I’m excited for the holiday because I have a very reasonable excuse to spend money and buy more books for myself. But unlike the past month, the month of November is a good hauling month. Not only did I bought fewer books than those impulsive book hauls but I bought some books on my priority list!
So here is my November Book Haul!
Frost Like Night by Sara Raasch
This is the third and final book to Sara Raasch’s (I believed this is a debut novel) Snow Like Ashes Trilogy. I’ve been so jealous of those people who already have this book on the release date. I have to wait for months because my country sucks when it comes to releasing hardcover books on time. But I’m still glad that I finally have this! Now I can reread the first book and binge read the whole trilogy! I’ve been hearing good reviews about this trilogy and I can’t wait to know what the hype is all about.
Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
The most anticipated sequel to Illuminae Trilogy! And same with Frost Like Night, I need to wait for a month before I spotted a hardcover copy of this baby! And I’ve been avoiding spoilers since its release date. And as I flipped through the pages, I was so excited to see the illustrations. This is more gorgeous than the first book.
Persuasion by Jane Austen
Ever since I finished Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen I feel like I love her already even though we do not have a good start because I felt like I read Emma at the wrong time. But even so, I decided to collect Austen’s book in this beautiful format.
Emma by Jane Austen
I’ve read about 2/3 of this book before I stop. But after Pride and Prejudice, I finally got the hang of Austen’s writing style so I’m giving this another shot. I hauled Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility before. Now all I need it Northanger Abbey and Mansfield Park and I already have the complete collection!
Lady Susan by Jane Austen
If it isn’t obvious in the last two books, I’ve been collecting Austen’s work so I bought this little black classics. I already bought Beautifull Cassandra and so why not buy this?
Lot No. 249 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
I’m not only obsessing with Jane Austen, I’m also obsessed with Sherlock Holmes. I’m reading the bind-up of The Complete Sherlock Holmes Vol. 1 and I already finished A Study in Scarlet and The Sign of Four. I really love Doyle’s writing style! So why not read this as well?
The Complete Sherlock Holmes Vol. 2 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
This was supposed to be a birthday gift from my aunt in California and I only get my hands on it after 4 months! Hooray for more Sherlock adventures!
That’s all for my book haul! What books did you buy this month? Here is to more books next month!
Till next time!
